Our Story

Faithful to the Gospel in Corpus Christi

Heritage Baptist Church has been a pillar of faith in Corpus Christi, Texas for decades. We are an Independent Baptist church rooted in the authority of the King James Bible, committed to sound doctrine, and passionate about reaching our community and the world with the life-changing message of the Gospel.

In 2019, Pastor Johnny Chae was unanimously called to lead the congregation, bringing fresh energy and an unwavering commitment to biblical ministry.

Today, Heritage Baptist Church continues to grow as a family of believers united by faith in Jesus Christ, a love for His Word, and a burden to see souls saved.

Our Pastor

Pastor Johnny Chae

Pastor Johnny Chae has been serving Heritage Baptist Church since 2015, first as Youth Pastor and then as Senior Pastor beginning in July 2019. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Missions from Providence Baptist College and has a heart for both the congregation and the community.

Pastor Chae and his wife Traci have three children: McKenna, Everly, and Haddon. Mrs. Traci leads Children's Church on Sundays.
